Description: The film parodies but also pays tribute to the OSS 117 series of spy films from the 1950s and 1960s (based on a series of novels by french writer Jean Bruce) and other conventional spy films, most noticeably the early James Bond films with Sean Connery.
The main character in the series is a secret agent, Hubert Bonisseur de La Bath, also known by his code name OSS 117. In the original, "serious" books, he is an American CIA agent with a french background. In this satire, he is a French agent, and is played by Jean Dujardin. The story takes place in 1955.
Ce film parodie tout en leur rendant hommage la série des films OSS 117 des années 50 et 60 (basée sur les romans de Jean Bruce) et d'autres films d'espionnage du même genre, plus particulièrement les premiers James Bond avec Sean Connery.
Le personnage principal de la série est Hubert Bonisseur de La Bath, nom de code OSS 117. Dans les romans, c'est un agent secret américain, travaillant pour la CIA (organisme qui a remplacé l'OSS à la fin de la seconde guerre mondiale). Sa famille est de descendance française. Dans cette satire, c'est un agent français, joué par Jean Dujardin. L'histoire se passe en 1955.
