Description: Ross Kemp examines Sri Lankan Tamil Gang Crime in London. Gang violence, prostitution and drug trafficking among Tamils in Britain has reached such proportions that the British police have set up special units to deal with Tamil crime. in 2003 Scotland Yard created a specialist squad (The Tamil Taskforce) to deal solely with the rising gangland violence in Sri Lankan Tamil communities following 13 gang-related murders centred round the Tamil areas of Ilford, Walthamstow and Wembley. The same situation exists in Toronto, Canada, where large numbers of Sri Lankan Tamils live.
